The secure protection of all data is one of the most vital aspects of our business. With HIPAA deadlines quickly approaching, the physician can be assured that the Practice Logix system is secure and confidential. It is our business to be in compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding security and privacy issues. The following security measures are in place to protect the confidentiality and integrity of all data:

• All corporate application and data servers are co-located at ViaWest, one of the premier managed hosting providers in the Western United States. ViaWest facilities feature redundant uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), multiple upstream network connections and state-of-the-art security, climate, privacy and fire protection controls.
  
  
• A fully redundant server architecture to provide failover in the case of hardware failure.
  
  
• Full network tape backups performed daily on all client data.
  
  
• Industrial strength 128-bit secure socket layer (SSL) encryption of all practice and patient data between each practice and our corporate servers.
  
  
• 128-bit encryption for all intra-practice LAN communications for both wired and wireless access devices.
  
  
• Secure application access utilizing User ID and Password.
